About Us
The Church is led by our pastor, Revd Tim Edworthy, and a team of leaders who keep Tim in order! Here are a few of us:
Tim Edworthy
Tim arrived in Peterborough in July 2004, after eight years pastoring a church in Hastings. Before that he had a career in the Building Society world. Outside of church life, Tim supports Manchester United, enjoys rock music and rides a mountain bike, albeit on the flat terrain of Peterborough. Tim is married to Wendy, and they have two daughters.
Tim has a passion for reaching the 'lost' with the good news of Jesus Christ, and a desire that church should be relevant to today's society without compromising its message.
Hugh Brenton
Hugh is our Church Secretary. That doesn't mean that he is always doing shorthand and typing, but that he co-ordinates various meetings and activities, ensuring that all is running smoothly!
A 'Peterborian', Hugh grew up in the church, and although he did live and work away from the city for some years, eventually he had to come back. Hugh is married to Pam, and they have grown-up children and grand-children.
Mark Tiddy
Mark joined us in September 2005 to be our 'volunteer' church worker. We liked him so much that we kept him on in September 2006, when he began a Youthwork and Ministry training course with Oasis.
Mark has a particular focus on youth and children's ministry in the church. He has also give input to organisations such as CROPS (Christian Options for Peterborough Schools).
Mark's home is near Great Yarmouth. He is a drummer, an aspiring guitarist, a computer geek, and all-round nice guy!
