Pastor Derek Gibson
Derek joined the Park Road family as Pastor in July 2021. After graduating from London Bible College with a BA in Theology in 1999, Derek went on to pastor churches in Kent, the West of Scotland and Essex. Derek is married to Carol, and they have two grown up children. When not behind the pulpit Derek can sometimes be found jogging round Ferry Meadows with his dog (Pippin) and occasionally likes to test himself on ultra-running events.
Steve West - Church Secretary
Steve has been a member at Park Road for over 20 years. He is married to Miriam and has a daughter and a teenage son. Following a period of illness, Steve loves to walk in the countryside surrounding Peterborough to regain strength and stamina. His favourite food is Italian! A verse that has meant a lot to Steve over the years is from Exodus 33:v14, God spoke to Moses and said, 'My presence will go with you and I will give you rest.'
Mark Jackson - Treasurer
Mark is our Church Treasurer, plays piano at Sunday Worship and takes an active interest in our Children’s and Youth Work.
Pat Woolhouse
Pat is a retired missionary teacher in D.R. Congo and Angola, she enjoys keeping in touch with former pupils, and doing puzzles of all sorts and reading. She has been associated with PRBC since her teens – many years ago now!
Florence Morton
Florence taught English in a Scottish comprehensive school for 16 years and then worked in the voluntary sector in the 1990s. In 2000-2001 she had a couple of strokes that changed her life. After recovering, she trained as a spiritual director. Florence and her husband Clive got married at Park Road Baptist Church in 1998.
Ann Butler
Ann is a retired Social Worker and enjoys keeping her garden tidy, mowing the lawn and weeding! She loves taking her 3 year old Lurcher ‘Iggy’, for walks. She’s been a member at PRBC since 1980.
Daniel Andeyaba
Daniel joined the Park Road Baptist Church Fellowship in 2007 shortly after he emigrated from Nigeria. He was raised as an Anglican but attended a Baptist Missionary Secondary School where he says “Christ found me”. Daniel is married to Priscilla and they are blessed with three children. In his spare time Dan loves watching and playing badminton.
Michael Page
Michael is a fully accredited Baptist minister, but retired some years ago from paid ministry, working as a chaplain at the local prison. He still occasionally leads services or preaches at local churches but devotes much of his time to helping with Christian work in Peterborough and elsewhere. He is active with our Welcome Wednesday hub work, helps with the audio-visual team, is a trustee of a couple of Christian charities and sometimes does the school run for one or more of his grandchildren.
